Gaining Class Expertise
Titles were an important attribute to folk in medieval - industrial times. As you gain experience in your career by crafting several items and selling in your career market, you can purchase higher tier work benches, blueprints and other goodies. Based on what you can produce, you will be recognized by that title. Titles earn "special treatment" in the world, from the respect / honor others show you, to being recommended for higher duties such as the Royal Engineer of a kingdom, Knight, etc!
Your title(s) earn you special spots at events, and allowances for building in exclusive areas, having special access to items (let's say you specialize in swords, can gain better bps for,) to where all the realms know who "the best" of this class may be at any given time.
