Tame According To Your Elemental Magic or Affinity

As magic has returned to the world, so has it enchanted many creatures in Auros! Just as we have an elemental magic or affinity (if you are a non-magic wielder,) the "bondbeast" do as well. Named for the strong bonds they make for those who share their element, these creatures will only be tamed by their elemental kin. To see what you can tame according to your element, please check out the Master Tame List below!

Three Ways To Tame

With so many different creatures, how they tame can vary from passive to the traditional KO and feed method. Since discovering our inner powers however, some have taken to gentler methods of feeding, petting and protecting to win a creature's trust. Below is an explanation of each method to make your creature friend:

The Traditional "KO"

Immersive Taming

Immersive taming is a very enjoyable mod, in which one tames a creature by feeding it (while not KO'd ha ha,) petting it, protecting and caring for it. The creature comes to develop a bond with you in a less...er...abrupt manner than the traditional Ark taming method of knockout. Some highly aggressive creatures may require battle before taming. See your tame journal in your engrams (level 0) on how to tame your desired creatures!

The Shrine Method

Unique to Shadow's Reign is the "Shrine Method" of taming, which is used for creatures who can not be tamed in the game. These creatures are lead to "soul traps" set up by Rune Casters. Once inside the rune circle, the creature is sacrificed. These are Alphas and un-tamable creatures. You may turn in their trophy drops to exchange for a tamed one at the starter village stables area, if your class or element allows.

Where do I Get Taming Items?

The traditional bait station is in the engrams, but specialty trophy bait stations are available to Gunslingers & Hunters. Visit your local Hunter's Market to see if any are on sale, or speak with a player of that class to obtain ingredients or items you may need!

Breeders provide all the means of kibble as well as the kibble bait station. They are experts in creature feeds and also have several other treats and items to pick from for your dinos!
